• Implications

  • If the decision making process is stalled by a lack of consensus caused by a minority who refuses to concede, strong majority influence can break such deadlocks so that critical decisions can be reached expeditiously
    • Use face-to-face to amplify majority influence
  • To solicit a broad perspective or encourage creativity, use CMC to reduce majority influence
    • Use dispersed CMC to dampen majority influence
